More than I would have done, and they used to pay me to do it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Man fatally shot after raising fake gun toward second man in Tampa, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Tony Marrero, Tampa Bay Times<br \/>\nA man fatally shot another man who had raised what turned out to be a fake gun toward him at a home in Tampa\u2019s Lowry Park North neighborhood, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Officers dispatched at about 11:30 p.m. to a call about shots fired on the 8500 block of North Hamner Avenue found a man in his late 30s suffering from gunshot wounds in his upper body, according to Tampa police. Officers provided first aid until Tampa Fire Rescue crews arrived and pronounced the man dead.<\/p>\n<p>The shooter, a man in his mid-20s, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.<\/p>\n<p>The shooter told investigators he was sitting in his car, parked in a friend\u2019s driveway, when the other man parked his vehicle in the street, got out, put a handgun in his waistband, approached the shooter\u2019s vehicle and knocked on the window. Darwin grins.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deputy \u2018an inch\u2019 away from being killed before fatally shooting suspect, Hall sheriff says<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>WSBTV.com News Staff<br \/>\nHall County Sheriff Gerald Couch is releasing new details on a shooting involving a deputy that left a suspect dead.<\/p>\n<p>Couch says the deputy found a man and woman standing outside of a car that was blocking F. Gilmer Road just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p>The deputy asked the man to turn around so he could pat him down for weapons. Instead of turning around, the man reached behind his back, pulled out a gun and opened fire on the deputy, the sheriff said.<\/p>\n<p>One of the bullets hit the deputy\u2019s magazine pouch on his duty belt, blocking him from being shot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHad the bullet strayed an inch, our deputy could have been critically injured, or even killed,\u201d Sheriff Couch said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The sheriff says the deputy then began firing back at the suspect, striking him multiple times. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
