The NY Post says that several city council members have said that the mayor has been pressured by the White House NOT to declare a state of emergency over the border crisis, despite the objections of several council members, and allege that the White House wants to funnel FEMA funding to deal with it.<\/p>\n

President Biden pressured Democratic El Paso mayor Oscar Leeser to avoid declaring a state of emergency over the influx of illegal immigrants arriving daily, despite several members of the local city council urging otherwise, the New York Post<\/a><\/em> reports.<\/p>\n

One councilwoman, Claudia Rodriguez, told the\u00a0Post<\/em> that Leeser<\/a> \u201ctold me the White House asked him not to\u201d declare a state of emergency for fear it would make Biden look bad. The WaPo reports on Yahoo that hundreds of former senior US officers have gone to work for various friendly (and not so friendly) foreign powers.<\/p>\n
