\nFour cops fatally shot a parolee brandishing a gun during a confrontation on an upper Manhattan street early Sunday, police said.<\/p>\n

Three officers and a lieutenant, all in uniform, pulled up on a fight in progress on Nagle Ave. near Dyckman St. in Inwood about 3 a.m., NYPD Chief of Patrol Jeffrey Maddrey said.<\/p>\n

They saw a man \u201cwith a gun in his hand, fighting the crowd,\u201d Maddrey said.<\/p>\n

The cops got out of their unmarked car and repeatedly yelled at the man to drop the gun, according to Maddrey. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Police: Military veteran shoots man running through neighborhood, threatening people with knives<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police say a bystander shot a man who was armed with knives and threatened people in a Gainesville neighborhood.<\/p>\n

Police said they got a call about a man behaving strangely on Shades Valley Lanes around 7:30 a.m. The caller said the man was possibly having a mental health crisis and was running around the neighborhood with knives.<\/p>\n

Before police got there, the man threatened two female EMTs loading a patient, officers said. At that point, a neighbor shot the subject multiple times.<\/p>\n

Channel 2’s Elizabeth Rawlins talked to a woman who did not want to be identified, but said the shooter is her stepson and he is a former member of the military.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
