The media has really been staying on top of Ms. Abrams, probably to aid her election campaign for Georgia Governor against Brian Kemp. Unfortunately for her, all the coverage just shows how like fellow Georgian Hank Johnson (“Guam may tip over if we sent more troops there!”)\u00a0 she really is.<\/p>\n
One bright spot -she has finally conceded her election loss: \u00a0 from 2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI very clearly say I know I\u2019m not the governor…I acknowledged that Brian Kemp won \u2014 I acknowledged it repeatedly in that speech.\u201d\u00a0 Yahoo News<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Think that gives her the recent times record on election loss denial – even the seemingly endless Trump claims have only gone since 2020.\u00a0 She beat that dead horse from 2018 till Sunday last. (Hillary mentioned recently that Trump won, too. Must be something in the air.)<\/p>\n According to multiple outlets,\u00a0 one of her biggest problems is a lack of black male support. Black women voted for her overwhelmingly and still support her heavily. But as Bloomberg reports, about a third of black males don’t vote at all and about 20% of those who did vote in 2020 voted for Trump, up\u00a0<\/em>from 2016’s numbers.<\/p>\n One-third of Black men registered in Georgia haven\u2019t voted in the past several elections, with pollsters saying these disaffected voters just don\u2019t think the outcome will improve their lives.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat they\u2019re doing is consciously choosing to stay away from elections,\u201d said W. Mondale Robinson, who founded the Black Male Voter Project<\/a> in 2015…<\/p>\n In 2018, when Kemp defeated Abrams by 55,000 votes, exit polls found that 97% of Black women had voted for Abrams, compared with 88% of Black men. That 9-point gender gap represented 120,000 votes.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Bloomberg<\/a><\/p>\n 88% is actually an extremely strong showing in any demographic – but pundits are finding that discrepancy concerning. Guess voters are supposed to vote race first, issue later.<\/p>\n Abrams hit the news in September for contravening medical fact and in a pro-abortion speech claiming that:<\/p>\n \u201cThere is no such thing as a heartbeat at six weeks. It is a manufactured sound designed to convince people that men have a right to take control of a woman\u2019s body away from her.\u201d<\/p>\n Johns Hopkins Medicine outlines what can be expected during the first trimester of pregnancy online and states \u201cby the end of four weeks\u201d an embryo\u2019s \u201cheart is beating\u201d as it starts forming along with the circulatory system. By the end of eight weeks, Johns Hopkins writes that \u201cyou can hear the baby\u2019s heartbeat using an instrument called a Doppler.\u201d After Abrams\u2019 heartbeat comments, it was reported that Planned Parenthood recently changed its fetal heartbeat fact sheet, according to Fox News. Planned Parenthood says online that during week five through six of pregnancy, the embryo demonstrates \u201ccardiac activity\u201d that sounds like a beating heart through an ultrasound, \u201cbut it\u2019s not a fully-formed heart \u2014 it\u2019s the earliest stage of the heart developing\u201d as of Sept. 23.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
