class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Tyler Kistner<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Several news outlets are reporting that one of GOP candidate Tyler Kistner&#8217;s Political Action Committees (PAC) had to pull an ad falsely claiming that he saw combat as a Marine, but he did not.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/kistner.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" rel=\"noopener\">Political Wire<\/a>\u00a0 (only references Minnesota Reformer but comments are informative)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/world\/americas\/us-politics\/tyler-kistner-stolen-valor-ad-b2196437.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GOP super PAC falsely claims congressional candidate saw combat as Marine<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Tyler Kistner\u2019s military service was also an issue in his previous campaigns for Congress<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Andrew Feinberg<\/p>\n<p>A Republican political action committee had to pull a television advertisement\u00a0promoting Minnesota congressional candidate Tyler Kistner because the ad falsely claimed he was a combat veteran.<\/p>\n<p>According to the non-profit news site\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/minnesotareformer.com\/2022\/10\/05\/congressional-candidate-tyler-kistner-has-repeatedly-suggested-he-saw-combat-but-he-didnt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><em>Minnesota Reformer<\/em>,<\/a>\u00a0the Congressional Leadership Fund advertisement described Mr Kistner as having served \u201cfour combat deployments.\u201d It aired on local television stations and streaming services for just one day before it was pulled down.<\/p>\n<p>The veterans group VoteVets \u2014 which has endorsed Mr Kistner\u2019s opponent, Representative Angie Craig \u2014 asked for the ad to be taken down in a late September letter, but a spokesperson for the CLF says the group made the request on its own after noticing that the \u201cwrong version\u201d was sent to television stations, just under three weeks before the veterans group asked for the ad to be pulled.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Reformer<\/em>\u00a0noted that Mr Kistner\u2019s overseas tours as a member of the US Marine Corps were served only in non-combat areas, including Japan and Korea.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>One article puts the blame on the PAC and says they sent the wrong version of the
