So there ya go – that’s the extent of our Big Discussion On Race. The media was held at bay forty feet from the four guys at a table with some pale-looking beverage. More feel good window-dressing. What did it cure? What discussion have we had as a result?<\/p>\n

The Washington Post<\/a> reports that there was no tension at the meeting, but there were no apologies either;<\/p>\n

After the meeting, Crowley and a lawyer speaking for Gates said the two men were satisfied with the tone of the discussion. Speaking to reporters at a brief news conference, Crowley said that while there was “no tension” at the meeting, no apologies were offered either. “Two gentlemen agreed to disagree on a particular issue,” he said. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“Agreed to disagree”. About what? Either a cop arrested a Black man for being Black, or a professor was race baiting officers. There’s no middle ground there. None. Did the media gather around because they thought someone would start tossing chairs? Or were they all there to take totally useless pictures of a non-event.<\/p>\n

Another Washington Post <\/a>article announces that Obama’s injecting himself into the whole incident has hurt him;<\/p>\n

The percentage of whites who “like” the kind of person he is fell by six points.<\/p>\n

In a callback survey Monday evening, more than twice as many whites disapproved than approved of how Obama was dealing with the matter (45 percent disapproved, 22 approved and 33 percent said they did not know). <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It should – just like all of the other stuff he comments on, he is woefully uninformed yet shoots off his mouth anyway. Iran, Honduras, Venezuela, Iraq, healthcare, the economy – he just says stuff thinking every one will agree with him no matter how stupid he sounds.<\/p>\n

Oh, and bringing Joe Biden was a wonderful idea. What could his pale ass contribute to…well…anything.

So what did we accomplish? The media got pictures of four guys not pounding on each other while drinking beer – something that happens millions of times every day around the world. <\/p>\n
