\nMan tracks stolen car with GPS, shoots alleged thief<\/strong>
\nThe suspect was hospitalized, and the car owner was released by the police<\/em><\/p>\n

Police say a man tracked down his stolen car using GPS and then shot the suspected thief after the man pointed a gun at him.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was stolen in Tacoma and the owner was able to track it to Federal Way, KOMO-TV reported Saturday.<\/p>\n

The 42-year-old owner told police when he confronted the suspect, the man pointed a handgun at him so he shot him.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old suspect was hospitalized. The owner of the stolen car was interviewed by police and released.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

SPRING, Texas \u2014 Being a small business owner has been a bit scary at times for Glenn Mehterian, haunted by the very real frights of staying afloat the past few years.<\/p>\n

\u201cCOVID and parties just didn\u2019t happen,\u201d said Cool Kat Party Warehouse owner Mehterian, \u201cBut rent did.\u201d<\/p>\n

His store located off Spring Cypress Road has also been impacted by a worker shortage. So, on Sunday, when two women were caught on surveillance cameras picked trick over treat, Mehterian had enough. He said one woman pretended to need his help while the other one rolled more than $1,000 worth of fog machines and other merchandise out the door and started loading their car.<\/p>\n

Mehterian chased them down.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I think there\u2019s a certain amount of frustration of\u2026. working your butt off and having individuals, I guess, that feel they are titled to something that they are not.”<\/p>\n

He was able to grab some of the items back but said the women drove away with another $400 worth of fog machines. Frustrated, Mehterian posted the alleged video of the thieves online.<\/p>\n

He was touched to see messages of support roll in, and then a message that said they just saw one of the women in handcuffs outside a nearby store.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
