\nTeenager shot by Sioux Falls police after pointing fake gun at officer, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA 17-year-old male was shot one time by a Sioux Falls police officer after the teenager pointed what turned out to be a “facsimile” gun at police, Chief Jon Thum said.<\/p>\n

The teenager was hospitalized, but his condition hasn’t been released.<\/p>\n

The incident started at 5:11 p.m. when the subject made a call to 911 and told the dispatcher to “send a cop and an ambulance, because I’m about to commit a felony,” Thum said.<\/p>\n

During the call to dispatch the teenager claimed to have a shotgun, according to scanner traffic. He told dispatchers he was willing to shoot anybody and get shot at.<\/p>\n

The teenager was threatening his ex-girlfriend and some others inside a residence in the area of Astoria Drive and Whistler Court in northwestern Sioux Falls, Thum said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Milton Police: Man hospitalized with gunshot wounds after he ‘charged’ at homeowner<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nMilton police are investigating a shooting that took place Sunday evening at a home in the 5500 block of Dogwood Drive.<\/p>\n

At approximately 6:50 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a suspicious person complaint, and when they arrived they found a man with gunshot wounds, according to Facebook post from the Milton Police Department.<\/p>\n

A male homeowner was confronted in the backyard of a home, the Facebook post said.<\/p>\n

“According to a witness statement, the suspicious person charged at the homeowner and was shot by the homeowner,” according to the post.<\/p>\n

The suspicious person was taken to an area hospital and was in critical condition.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
