\nHOUSTON \u2014 A homeowner will face a grand jury after shooting a man to death outside an apartment in southeast Houston Friday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.<\/p>\n

This happened just before 7:30 a.m. on Village Way near Telephone Road.<\/p>\n

Police said homicide detectives learned that a man, who has not yet been identified, may have been trying to steal a catalytic converter from a vehicle parked at the complex. The owner of that vehicle shot the man, investigators said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nThree Green Bay Police Department officers who were placed on administrative leave will not face charges for a July 20 shooting of a man involved in a domestic disturbance.<\/p>\n

Officers Cameron Boersma, Shawna Coron and Chrisopher Vaubel, all four-year veterans of the police department, returned to duty Tuesday after the Brown County District Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and determined there was “no evidence to suggest criminal conduct,” the police department said in a news release Friday.<\/p>\n

Police were called to respond to a domestic dispute between two people at an apartment complex in the 700 block of Chapel View Road at 11:14 p.m. July 20.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived at the residence, Russell Lonas, 31, of Green Bay, had driven away in a vehicle, and police were informed that he had a gun, according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n

An officer located him and attempted a traffic stop, but Lonas continued driving, according to a criminal complaint. The officer pursued the vehicle, and police caused Lonas’ vehicle to spin out. Lonas then drove in the grass, and police met him in a field south of Chapel View Road and attempted to negotiate with him, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Lonas shot once into the air, the complaint said, then got back into his vehicle and drove away, eventually driving in direction of the apartment complex.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man shot, killed by officer outside Caldwell County home, police say<\/strong>

A man was killed in an officer-involved shooting in Caldwell County Friday morning, police said.<\/p>\n

Channel 9s Dave Faherty learned the shooting happened around 5:30 a.m. on Eastview Street near Highway 321 in the Town of Hudson.<\/p>\n

Police said a man who called 911 and hung up was the person who was shot and killed by an officer. Faherty learned the man lived in a garage behind his parent\u2019s home.<\/p>\n

Police have not identified the man who was killed. The officer was not hurt in the shooting.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce there, they encountered a subject. He was noncompliant with their commands and ultimately put them in a situation where they had to use deadly force,\u201d said Hudson police Chief Richard Blevins.<\/p>\n

The chief said it was not a physical altercation that led to the use of deadly force. He confirmed the shooting did not happened inside the home.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
