Sheriff’s brother fatally shot during standoff with Muncie police<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThe brother of Delaware County Sheriff Tony Skinner was fatally shot early Thursday during a standoff with Muncie police.<\/p>\n

Richard Allen Skinner, 45 \u2014 who had a long history of arrests \u2014 was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting, at his home in the Morningside neighborhood on Muncie’s northeast side.<\/p>\n

According to Indiana State Police \u2014 who are investigating Richard Skinner’s shooting \u2014 city officers were sent to a reported domestic disturbance in the 1500 block of East Andover Drive about 1 a.m.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived, they made contact with a 45-year-old man \u2014 later confirmed to be Richard Skinner \u2014 inside the home. “Negotiations” with that individual began, the release said. The city police SWAT team was called to the scene.<\/p>\n

After officers heard gunshots in the house, Richard Skinner reportedly approached a window and pointed “what appeared to be a firearm at officers,” according to the ISP release.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man fatally shot after forcing entry into ex-girlfriend’s home in west Phoenix, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA man was fatally shot after forcing his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home and getting into a fight with another man Wednesday morning near 107th Avenue and Indian School Road, according to Phoenix police.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to a home in the area and found a man and woman who directed them to 19-year-old Kimoni Wilson, who had a gunshot wound, according to a news release. Wilson was pronounced dead on scene.<\/p>\n

Detectives learned Wilson was the ex-boyfriend of the homeowner and forced his way inside, according to police. He then got into a fight with a man and used a gun he found inside the home to hit the unidentified man.<\/p>\n

The man took the gun and shot Wilson, police said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
