Deputies shoot person inside Victorville WinCo supermarket on Friday<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA WinCo Foods in Victorville was closed Friday after San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies shot a person who was reportedly causing a disturbance inside the supermarket.<\/p>\n

Just before 12:30 p.m., Victorville Sheriff\u2019s Station deputies responded to a report of an “unwanted subject” at the WinCo on the corner of Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.<\/p>\n

Shortly after arriving at the scene, a deputy shot the individual. Sheriff\u2019s spokeswoman Gloria Huerta told the Daily Press the person was taken to a hospital. But sheriff\u2019s officials did not reveal the identity of the subject, what led to the shooting or if whether the person who was shot had a weapon.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

DA: Leland fatal shooting ruled self-defense<\/strong><\/p>\n

LELAND, N.C. (WECT) – A 19-year-old man was legally justified in using deadly force in a shooting in Leland last month, the District Attorney\u2019s Office announced Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Kwaze Walker was found dead inside a home on Night Harbor Drive on July 31.<\/p>\n

District Attorney Jon David said a review of the evidence by his office and the Leland Police Department determined that Walker was shot in self-defense.<\/p>\n

A news release from the District Attorney\u2019s Office says that the person who fired the fatal shots was assaulted by Walker and another person approximately 45 minutes before the shooting.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
