Sioux Falls police say man shot and killed by officers fired gun at law enforcement<\/strong><\/p>\n

A man who was shot and killed by officers on Tuesday night in west-central Sioux Falls fired a weapon at a police officer and a sheriff’s deputy before officers returned fire, police chief Jon Thum said.<\/p>\n

Authorities stopped the vehicle in the area of 12th Street and Kiwanis Area at 5:37 p.m. Thum said the vehicle was stopped because subjects in the vehicle were wanted and on parole.<\/p>\n

The drug task force pulled the vehicle over in a Burger King parking lot, Thum said. Three subjects ran, including one man who got out and fired a gun at police, Thum said. The fourth subject drove away in the car.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Amazon driver acted in self-defense when shooting knife-wielding man<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nMIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WXIX) – An Amazon delivery driver is not facing any charges after he shot a knife-wielding man on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The driver was out on his route when the suspect, Christopher Roberts, walked up to him with a knife, according to Middletown police.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, he [Amazon driver] was in fear,\u201d explained Middletown Police Chief David Birk. \u201cSo, in defense of himself, he was able to discharge a firearm striking the individual in the leg area.\u201d<\/p>\n

The police report shows Roberts was suspected of being under the influence of drugs when he confronted the Amazon driver.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
