This vote was unanimous and restricts noncitizens to government jobs that do not conflict with state and federal laws. However, those applying for positions with the Los Angeles County Sheriff&#8217;s Department must show proof of citizenship.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b>From BreitBart:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Authored by Chair Hilda l. Solis and co-authored by Sheila Kuehl, the policy allegedly aims to better represent the &#8220;community&#8221; in city government.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Los Angeles County is a community of immigrants from each corner of the world,&#8221; said Solis in a statement. &#8220;And while our County-government workforce reflects the community it represents, there is room for improvement.
