\nAn administrator of the Facebook group \u201cIndiana Gun Free Zones\u201d created a photoshop rendering of the incredible 40-yard shot that armed citizen Eli Dicken took with a pistol to stop an active shooter at an Indiana mall last week.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy photoshop rendering of what Eli Dicken\u2019s point of view & distance to the shooters location might have been. The red X is generalized location of were [sic] the shooter was firing from,\u201d Jason Lee posted on Facebook along with the image.<\/p>\n

According to police, Dicken was carrying a pistol under the state\u2019s recently enacted constitutional carry law, which went into effect on July 1. Just 15 seconds after the mass shooter opened fire, Dicken steadied himself on a pole and fired eight to 10 shots, striking the gunman from 40 yards away.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis actions were nothing short of heroic. He engaged the gunman from quite a distance with a handgun. Was very proficient in that, was tactically sound and as he moved to close in on the suspect, he was also motioning for people to exit behind him,\u201d said Greenwood Police Chief Jim Ison, according to WTHR. \u201cMany people would have died last night if not for a responsible, armed citizen that took action very quickly within the first two minutes of this shooting.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Homeowner kills intruder in Pickaway County<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nPICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio -A man is dead after deputies say a homeowner shot and killed him during a home invasion.<\/p>\n

According to initial reports from law enforcement, a man gained entry into a house in the 1000 block of Thrailkill Road just before midnight on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The 9-1-1 caller told dispatchers that the reported intruder had entered through a side door in the residence and was \u201ctrying to burglarize\u201d the house. The Guardian has been unable to confirm the motive or reasoning for the man\u2019s presence at the property. When deputies arrived they found the man deceased on the lower-level of the home, while the homeowners were upstairs.<\/p>\n

The alleged intruder was described as an African-American male who suffered \u201cmultiple gunshot wounds<\/strong>,\u201d according to county coroner Dr. John Ellis.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
