Ontario police shoot and kill man they say charged at them with a knife<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nOntario police fatally shot a man they say brandished a knife at them at a gas station near the Ontario Mills outlet mall.<\/p>\n

Officers arrived about 10:45 p.m. Thursday at a Mobil gas station in the 4300 block of Ontario Mills Parkway after receiving calls about a man threatening customers with a knife and demanding money, Ontario police Officer Eliseo Guerrero said.<\/p>\n

When police arrived and made contact with the man, he \u201ccharged\u201d at them with a knife in his hand, Guerrero said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nThe Harris County District Attorney’s Office and the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences will be involved in the investigation.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nA Harris County Sheriff’s Office sergeant on Friday shot and killed a suspect he was taking into custody after the suspect allegedly took the sergeant’s Taser, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said in a Tweet.<\/p>\n

Gonzalez said the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

According to HCSO, the incident started after the suspect was allegedly shoplifting at a Dollar General located on FM 1960. They said a deputy, the sergeant, saw the man leaving the store and when he caught up with the suspect, a fight ensued.<\/p>\n

During the fight, the suspect allegedly grabbed the deputy’s Taser. HCSO said the deputy responded by pulling out his weapon and shooting the suspect.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
