Clearwater woman fatally shoots man who broke into her bedroom, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA Clearwater woman shot and killed an intruder who broke into her bedroom, according to investigators.<\/p>\n

Clearwater police say they got a 911 call around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday about an intruder at a home in the 1600 block of Flagler Drive. <\/p>\n

The woman said she woke up to find a man in her bedroom.<\/p>\n

She told officers the man began to attack her, but she was able to grab a gun and shoot him.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Norfolk officers fatally shot man in exchange of gunfire while attempting arrest in Larchmont, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nNorfolk police said officers shot and killed a man in an exchange of gunfire early Tuesday morning outside a Larchmont apartment complex while attempting to arrest him on outstanding warrants.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened about 5:10 a.m. in the 5500 block of Monroe Place in Norfolk, just a short distance from Larchmont Elementary School and Old Dominion University. The man died at the scene.<\/p>\n

Police have not released his name but family members identified him as 41-year-old Antonio \u201cA.J.\u201d Beekman of Norfolk. Beekman was a truck driver and lived at Larchmont Apartments, where the shooting occurred, according to his sister, Erica Eley.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just trying to wrap my head around this,\u201d Eley said as she stood just outside the crime scene tape. One of her sisters had called her early Tuesday to break the news.<\/p>\n

Police said they were attempting to arrest the man on multiple felony charges when he began shooting. Four of the officers returned fire, according to police. No officers were injured.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
