Woman claimed self-defense in shooting that killed 47-year-old man in Phoenix<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA woman shot and killed her boyfriend who she said was assaulting her early Sunday near 27th Avenue and Bethany Home Road, according to Phoenix police.<\/p>\n

On Monday, Phoenix police identified the deceased man as 47-year-old Abdul Cooper.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to the area around 3:30 a.m. and contacted a man who had a gunshot wound. According to police, a woman returned to the scene and said the man had been assaulting her when she shot him.<\/p>\n

The man was taken to a hospital where he died. The woman, who police identified as the girlfriend, was detained but released after she claimed her actions were in self-defense, police said on Monday.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Carjacking victim shoots, kills attacker in west Tulsa<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nUPDATE: Tulsa police say a carjacking suspect, identified as Desmond Cousino, was found dead at a west Tulsa QuikTrip Sunday.<\/p>\n

Officers say the victim of the attack called 911 and turned himself in to police after shooting Cousino.<\/p>\n

Video of the incident showed that Cousino carjacked the victim, attempted to take the victim’s car at gunpoint, and the two ended up fighting over the weapon.<\/p>\n

The carjacking victim took Cousino’s gun and shot and killed him.<\/p>\n

The shooter was released after being interviewed by detectives.<\/p>\n

The case will be presented to the District Attorney for determination.<\/p>\n

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — A man has died after being shot at a QuikTrip in west Tulsa, according to police.<\/p>\n

Officers say they responded to a shooting call at a QuikTrip near North Gilcrease Museum Road and U.S. 412, and found a man unresponsive on the ground.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nThe Des Moines shooting happened at about 10 a.m. Sunday morning<\/em><\/p>\n

\nA legally armed woman in a Des Moine, Iowa, grocery store shot another woman who violently attacked her Sunday morning, police say.<\/p>\n

“This was something spontaneous that unfortunately happened in that grocery store where a lot of people were grocery shopping this morning,” said Sgt. Paul Parizek of the Des Moines Police Department said of the Sunday incident, according to KCCI.<\/p>\n

Police said suspect Kapri Lashawn Francis, 30, attacked the woman without provocation inside a Hy-Vee grocery store at about 10 a.m. local time. The unidentified woman was legally armed and fired one shot at Francis.<\/p>\n

The suspect was shot in the leg, while a male customer was shot in the foot after the bullet ricocheted.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
