Kyle Rittenhouse, the man acquitted in the shootings in Kenosha, Wisconsin, announced on that he was working with Todd McMurtry, the lawyer who represented Covington Catholic student Nicholas Sandmann in his defamation case against CNN, the Washington Post, and others after a video went viral involving Sandmann and a Native American activist.<\/p>\n

S<\/span>aying he was inspired by Johnny Depp, Kyle Rittenhouse is moving ahead with his own defamation lawsuits with his lawyer already singling out a social media giant as one of the many intended targets.<\/p>\n

Rittenhouse announced on Twitter Friday that he was working with Todd McMurtry, the lawyer who represented Covington Catholic student Nicholas Sandmann in his\u00a0defamation case against the Washington Post\u00a0after a video went viral involving Sandmann and a Native American activist. Along with the Washington Post, McMurtry has reached settlements with media companies NBCUniversal and CNN.<\/p>\n

McMurtry spoke with\u00a0Fox News\u00a0recently where he stated Rittenhouse\u2019s legal team was preparing for \u201cat least 10\u201d defamation lawsuits against prominent figures and companies for comments made about Rittenhouse. Rittenhouse was\u00a0acquitted last year of all charges\u00a0in a shooting that killed two people and wounded another during a protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.<\/p>\n

McMurtry went on to tell Fox News Digital in a phone interview that he\u2019d been hired by Rittenhouse to determine \u201cwhom to sue, when to sue, where to sue\u201d and said they probably had \u201c10 to 15 solid\u201d cases against \u201clarge defendants.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
