Update: Fayetteville man shoots and kills home intruder, second assailant flees<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA resident of a neighborhood off Cliffdale and Raefords roads got into a gun battle with two home invaders early Wednesday, killing one and sustaining a gunshot wound to the leg, police said.<\/p>\n

According to the Fayetteville Police Department, Kyshii Swinson, 22, of the 300 block of Waterdown Drive, was shot and killed about 3:30 a.m. after he and another man burst into the home in the 7700 block of South Sheild Drive.<\/p>\n

After receiving a call from someone else in the house, police found an adult male injured inside his home and Swinson dead in the yard, Sgt. Jeremy Glass said. The resident. whose name was not released, was listed in stable condition late Wednesday morning.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Wounded store worker wrestles gun from accused robber and shoots him, Maryland cops say<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAn attempted robbery was thwarted in Maryland when a pair of employees fought back against an armed suspect, according to Baltimore police.<\/p>\n

The incident started when a customer walked into a Metro PCS store on Baltimore\u2019s east side around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, the Baltimore Police Department said in a news release.<\/p>\n

The man asked for customer service, but after the employees explained that they couldn\u2019t help him, he left \u2014 returning moments later with a gun in hand.<\/p>\n

Now armed, the customer \u201cannounced\u201d he was robbing the store, police said.<\/p>\n

One of the workers moved in on the suspect and tried to disarm him, according to the release. The gun went off during the struggle, striking the other employee in the leg.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
