In a desperate attempt to seem relevant, to never waste a crisis and still unable to reach a consensus on what would actually help, Dems are once again on the gun ban bandwagon. Tragedy exploited- wash, rinse, repeat.<\/p>\n

The late, great Charles Krauthammer opined there are three components to the gun crime issue- the killer, the weapon and the cultural climate. Dems solely attack one aspect, the guns, and ignore the others at their peril.<\/p>\n

The gun of all evil is of course the AR-15 format semi-auto modern sporting rifle, although PINO Joe did just compare a .22 with the world’s most popular handgun round, the 9x19mm Parabellum. His comparison of the two bullet’s relative effects was ludicrous.<\/p>\n

So here we go once again. The Dems want to raise the legal age to purchase a weapon, reduce magazine capacity, ban scary looking rifles, and increase background checks.<\/p>\n

None of which will stop a single crime.<\/p>\n

The House Judiciary Committee is set to hold an emergency meeting Thursday to pen an extensive gun control package.<\/p>\n

Democrats are currently pushing a series of eight bills aimed at suppressing gun ownership, referred to collectively as the “Protecting Our Kids Act,” Fox News confirmed.<\/p>\n

The bills contain proposals raising the minimum age for purchasing a semi-automatic weapon from 18 to 21, a ban on “high capacity magazines,” a registry for bump stocks, and more.<\/p>\n

The House package is expected to go nowhere in the Senate and is seen as more of a show vote, as a bipartisan group of senators tries to agree on a bill that could pass the Senate.<\/p>\n

The gun control package is a direct response to the massacre in Uvalde, Texas \u2013 the elementary school shooting last week that left 19 children and two teachers dead.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Fox News<\/a><\/p>\n

There was the Waukesha, Wisconsin, Christmas parade massacre where a “person of color” drove an SUV through a crowded street, killing six people and injuring 60 more. The Brooklyn subway shooting spree occurred, when the black supremacist assailant set off a smoke bomb before firing 33 rounds into a crowded station.<\/p>\n

Neither of these events fit the narrative and have been ignored, yet none of the Dem proposed measures are new and none have had any effect in the 20+ year long gun control debate. Doing the same thing over again and expecting different results is how they roll.<\/p>\n

I believe they’d be a bit more serious about protecting children when theirs are in the same schools as are the rest of Americans. Those who still send their kids to government schools, anyway.<\/p>\n

But hey, ghouls gonna dance.<\/p>\n
