Florida bride, caterer arrested after guests get sick off drug-laced wedding food, deputies say<\/h3>\n

A Seminole County bride and a wedding caterer were arrested after deputies say several wedding guests were served food laced with drugs.<\/p>\n

The bride, Danya Glenny, is facing charges including tampering, culpable negligence and delivery of marijuana. Joycelyn Bryant, who reportedly catered the wedding, is facing the same charges.<\/p>\n

On Feb. 19, deputies responded to The Springs Clubhouse in Longwood after a guest at Glenny’s wedding reportedly began “feeling weird.” The guest told deputies that he felt like he “had drugs inside him” after only consuming food and wine.<\/p>\n

First responders on the scene treated several people who were complaining of stomach pains and vomiting. A female guest reportedly told fire officials that the food was laced with marijuana. Another guest said that he was feeling “ill and high,” according to the report, and that he wanted to press charges against the people responsible for possibly lacing his food. He, along with other guests, were taken to South Seminole Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

During the investigation, the catering company was identified as Joycelyn’s Southern Kitchen.<\/p>\n

Deputies spoke with Glenny and another person and asked if she had consented to or requested that the food contain marijuana. The report states that she stared at the deputy with a blank expression before saying no. Deputies then tried to locate the catering manager, Bryant, but the staff had already left.<\/p>\n

Several samples of glassware and food were collected from the party to be tested, including chocolate covered strawberries, pudding \u2018shot\u2019 desserts, and lasagna.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Former Arizona sheriff\u2019s deputy arrested for allegedly crashing weddings and stealing newlyweds\u2019 gifts<\/h3>\n

A former sheriff\u2019s deputy in Arizona allegedly crashed as many as 11 weddings and stole thousands of dollars worth of gifts from newly married couples, the Chandler Police Department said this week.<\/p>\n

Landon Earl Rankin, 54, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of two counts of burglary in relations to thefts at two Phoenix-area weddings last month.<\/p>\n

He is also facing several drug charges after police found amphetamine and fentanyl in his possession, according to Chandler police.<\/p>\n

Rankin would allegedly pose as a guest at weddings and steal boxes of wedding cards. The boxes at the Phoenix-area weddings both contained between $3,000 and $6,000.<\/p>\n

During the investigation, police uncovered at least 11 recent incidents of similar wedding thefts in the East Valley region of Arizona that Rankin could be responsible for.<\/p>\n

Surveillance images released by the Chandler Police Department show Rankin in a button-down shirt and slacks running with what is allegedly the wedding card boxes in a plastic bag.<\/p>\n

Rankin retired from the Pinal County Sheriff\u2019s Office in 2015 after 21 years on the force.<\/p>\n

He told police after he was arrested that he attended the weddings to hear the vows \u201cbecause he was going through a divorce,\u201d according to a probable-cause statement.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Woman allegedly kills husband after he confesses to loving someone else; another woman comes forward claiming to be real wife<\/h3>\n

Harris County Precinct 4 constables said a woman confessed to killing her husband in a jealous fit of rage Saturday morning, but another woman has come forward to KPRC 2 saying that she, not the accused, is the victim\u2019s actual wife.<\/p>\n

Karin Tricia Stewart, 51, has been charged with murder.<\/p>\n

The tragedy began to unfold when deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 23600 block of Buttress Root Drive around 2:21 a.m. They arrived to find a man, James Hargrove, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n

The victim was rushed to Houston Northwest Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

Stewart, who is 51 years old, allegedly told investigators the victim was her husband and that she shot him after he told her he was in love with another woman.<\/p>\n

Stewart was taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Jail. Her bond has been set at $75,000.<\/p>\n

On Monday, during Stewart\u2019s court appearance, a woman who identified herself as Sandra Hargrove told KPRC 2 that she is the victim\u2019s real wife, not Stewart. Hargrove said in an interview that she received a call from her stepson, telling her that her husband had been shot to death.<\/p>\n

Hargrove said she came to Stewart\u2019s first court appearance to find out what happened to her husband.<\/p>\n

Hargrove said she and the victim have been legally married since 2009 and recently separated in November, but still were in contact every other day. She said she was not aware of any relationship he had with Stewart or any other woman.<\/p>\n

Hargrove said she is shocked at what happened, adding that, from her knowledge, Stewart was only his caregiver. She said that her husband had recently recovered after being in the hospital with COVID-19 for several months.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s still my husband,\u201d Hargrove said tearfully. \u201cI mean, we have grandkids, we have kids, we have nieces and nephews. That\u2019s still my husband.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said she and her family want justice.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven when we separated — we didn\u2019t cause he was my best friend,\u201d Hargrove said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ohio man calls police when truck he stole 5 days earlier is stolen again<\/h3>\n

An Ohio man who reported his truck stolen on Monday was arrested after authorities learned he stole the truck five days earlier in Delaware County.<\/p>\n

Hilliard police said 36-year-old Brett Redd, of Columbus, reported his truck was stolen by his passenger from a UDF gas station, our news partners at WBNS reported.<\/p>\n

Police were able to catch up to the truck, and the suspect, identified as David Harrison, ran from the vehicle. He was later arrested in a nearby residential neighborhood, according to WBNS.<\/p>\n

Police later learned that the truck was originally stolen by Redd on May 4.<\/p>\n

According to an incident report from the Delaware County Sheriff\u2019s Office, the vehicle was taken from a landscaping company in Powell, WBNS reported.<\/p>\n

Both men have been charged with receiving stolen property.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Florida Deputy Faces DUI Charges<\/h3>\n

Officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department have arrested a Pinellas County Sheriff\u2019s Office deputy for Driving Under the Influence (DUI).<\/p>\n

At about 1:03 a.m., on May 17, 2022, officers conducted a traffic stop at 108th Avenue North and 4th Street North in St. Petersburg on 26-year-old Shelby Coniglio.<\/p>\n

According to officers, Coniglio showed signs of impairment by having an odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath, slurred speech, blank expression, bloodshot\/glassy eyes, and she was unsteady on her feet. Coniglio agreed to perform Field Sobriety Tests, but performed poorly on them.<\/p>\n

Officers say Coniglio submitted to a breath sample which indicated she had a BrAC of .206\/.219.<\/p>\n

Coniglio was arrested and charged with one count of Driving Under the Influence with Bal .15 or Greater She was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without incident.<\/p>\n

Coniglio was hired by the Pinellas County Sheriff\u2019s Office, on September 10, 2018. She worked as a deputy in the Patrol Operations Bureau.<\/p>\n

Coniglio\u2019s employment was immediately terminated following the arrest, which is consistent with Pinellas County Sheriff\u2019s Office policy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Woman arrested after driving through fresh concrete while fleeing police<\/h3>\n

A Minnesota woman was arrested Monday night after her attempt to flee from police ended when she drove into fresh concrete.<\/p>\n

According to Hubbard Broadcasting affiliate KAAL-TV, Rochester police saw the woman drive through a red light at around 4:40 p.m. When the officers tried to stop her vehicle, she refused to stop.<\/p>\n

A short time later, another officer tried to stop the woman near Westover Lane and Seventh Street Northeast but she accelerated, crashed through construction barricades and drove into 150 feet of freshly poured concrete, bringing her to a stop. She was then arrested and taken to a hospital for a psychological evaluation.<\/p>\n

KAAL reports that the woman is estimated to have caused between $30,000 and $40,000 in damages.<\/p>\n

Police told KAAL that they have received at least nine complaints about the woman driving erratically and using a bullhorn to \u201cspread the word of God\u201d since May 11.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s being held for fleeing police, property damage and driving without insurance.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
