Drug deal goes bad when man mistakenly texts photos and prices to deputy, SC cops say<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA drug deal went awry in the strangest of ways, when a South Carolina man mistakenly texted product photos \u2014 and his immediate address \u2014 to a South Carolina sheriff\u2019s deputy, according to the Chesterfield County Sheriff\u2019s Office, about 40 miles southeast of Charlotte.<\/p>\n

It happened Monday afternoon, May 9, and the investigation began when a Chesterfield County deputy checked his phone and saw an unsolicited photo of neatly packaged marijuana, the department said in a news release.<\/p>\n

A pistol still in the box was also in the photo, with an ammo cartridge, the post showed.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeputies started a text dialog … concerning prices for the firearm and amount of requested marijuana,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n

(The suspect) gave a location in the town of Cheraw where he was working at a residence.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cLiterally from the second day I started working here, I have been getting emails and phone calls from community members, just absolutely livid. What they see this as is lawlessness from community members,\u201d said Chief Winstrom.<\/p>\n

The people calling are mad about biker groups that they say drive through town dangerously and recklessly.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe illegal activity by these riders, really terrorizes the people downtown, terrorizing people in residential neighborhoods, is something we take very seriously,\u201d said Chief Winstrom.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
