President Biden, the man who said he would unite the politically divided country, has now painted a large number of patriotic Americans as extremists. The quote in the headline is real. Let that sink in for a moment. The President of the United States thinks that “make America great” is an extremist position. National sovereignty, domestic energy independence, and opposing infanticide are “extreme.”<\/p>\n

Apparently he forgets about the KKK, the Black Panthers, and the Weathermen. Actual terrorist organizations. Even in very recent (i.e. current) times you have Antifa, BLM, and the patently racist “Anti-racist” movement of critical race theory.<\/p>\n

The NY Post points out some of the hypocrisy<\/a> from the Hypocrite-in-Chief;<\/p>\n

We have zero desire to obsess about this prez\u2019s malarkey as much as liberal outlets did over the last guy, but he\u2019s sure making it hard. The latest from President Joe Biden: \u201cThis MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that\u2019s existed in American history. Recent American history.\u201d<\/p>\n

He was suggesting the Supreme Court\u2019s overturning of Roe v. Wade could be followed by other outrages, such as letting states pass laws \u201csaying that children who are LGBTQ can\u2019t be in classrooms with other children.\u201d Huh?<\/p>\n

For starters, the leaked draft opinion takes great pains to explain why Roe is unique, its reversal is no reason to expect a similar undoing of the gay-marriage ruling and other expansions of Americans\u2019 constitutional rights.<\/p>\n

Second, Biden conveniently forgets (or, who knows with him, maybe he really doesn\u2019t recall) that he himself was anti-Roe for at least a decade.\u00a0<\/em>[emphasis original]\u00a0\u201cI don\u2019t like the Supreme Court decision on abortion. I think it went too far,\u201d he told the Washingtonian in 1974. In \u201982, he backed a constitutional amendment to undo the decision and let states decide, as the draft ruling prescribes.<\/p>\n

Third, how is MAGA anti-gay, when Donald Trump not only literally waved the rainbow flag at the Republican National Convention but as president appointed the highest-ever openly gay official, Richard Grenell?<\/p>\n

As for \u201cmost extreme\u201d: Even if 1960s terrorist groups like the Weathermen don\u2019t count, how does Biden ignore the substantial wing of his own party that wants to defund the police as inherently racist, not to mention the #AbolishICE crowd? Oh, and also end all US carbon emissions without actually having practical alternatives.<\/p>\n

As we\u2019ve noted, the end of Roe will dent abortion rights in parts of America, but only by putting the issue back into normal politics. Biden\u2019s bid to paint it as the first salvo in a wholesale remaking of America is just a desperate attempt to change the subject from soaring inflation, a virtually open border and rising crime \u2014 the problems every poll shows the public cares about most, and every one of them belonging at the door of Democrats\u2019 extremist agenda.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
