Since Biden himself has said<\/a> whomever is really running the country won’t let him go to Ukraine, and the Vice President can’t be trusted with anything more taxing than a commencement speech, a congressional delegation (of only Democrats oddly enough) went to Ukraine over the weekend. Led by Speaker Pelosi, she took with her the repeated and committed liar Rep. Schiff (who ironically chairs the House Intelligence Committee, intelligence being a trait in which he sorely lacks).<\/p>\n

Meeting with Ukrainian President Zelensky on Saturday 28 April, Pelosi was given the Order of Princess Olga, third grade, for her contribution(s) to the country. Though the photo from the AP showing the awarding is a little suspect. While Pelosi is giving her best canned smile that conveys the body language that she’s disgusted to be near such peasantry, Zelensky is smirking and looking off camera. It’s like he’s sharing a joke that the Speaker might not be in on.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur delegation traveled to Kyiv to send an unmistakable and resounding message to the entire world: America stands firmly with Ukraine,\u201d Pelosi said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The California Democrat, who is second in line to the presidency after the vice president, is the most senior American lawmaker to visit the embattled country since Russia\u2019s war began back in February.<\/p>\n

Her visit to Kyiv marks a major show of continuing support for the country\u2019s struggle against Moscow\u2019s invasion forces.<\/p>\n

Pelosi was joined by several lawmakers on the congressional trip that came after Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin made the same journey last weekend, as Breitbart News reported.<\/p>\n

Pelosi said Zelensky had made clear Ukraine needed more security, economic and humanitarian aid \u201cto address the devastating human toll taken on the Ukrainian people by (President Vladimir) Putin\u2019s diabolic invasion.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur delegation proudly delivered the message that additional American support is on the way,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Before leaving the war torn country to come back to the US. Oddly enough, though I don’t know if I’ve ever agreed with Nancy “We have to pass the bill, so that you can find out what is in it” Pelosi, she is probably the most competent person anywhere near the top of the US Government at the moment. I’ve spent the last year baffled at the sheer intentional incompetence coming from the Biden Administration and almost all of his Cabinet.
