\nPolice said the suspect got out of the passenger side of a vehicle with a bag. That’s when an officer shot at him. A gun was later found in the bag, HPD said.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nHOUSTON \u2014 A suspect wanted for outstanding warrants was shot and killed by police Wednesday at the end of a chase in northeast Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.<\/p>\n

Investigators said a tactical team with HPD spent Wednesday morning conducting an investigation into the suspect who was wanted for three felony warrants, including felon in possession of a firearm and aggravated assault. <\/p>\n

At about 2:45 p.m., officers saw someone who resembled the suspect get into the passenger seat of a vehicle, investigators said. The vehicle then left the location. <\/p>\n

Investigators said officers tried to pull the vehicle over but the driver refused and a short chase began.<\/p>\n

The chase lasted just a few minutes before coming to an end in the 8700 block of Josie Street. Police said officers had to use a certain technique to get the driver to stop the vehicle. <\/p>\n

When the driver finally stopped, officers reportedly approached the vehicle and police said that is when the wanted felon got out of the passenger side of the car holding a bag.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

SAN ANTONIO \u2013 A Harlandale ISD officer shot a suspect during a struggle while responding to a burglary call Wednesday night at a South Side campus, according to district officials.<\/p>\n

A custodian at Morrill Elementary School called Harlandale ISD police around 8:18 p.m. for a burglary in progress.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived, they approached the man trying to break in and asked for his name. They ran his information through their system and found the man had an arrest warrant out of Kendall County.<\/p>\n

When the officers tried to arrest the man, he tried running away. District officials said a struggle ensued between one officer, an 18-year veteran with Harlandale ISD PD, and the suspect.<\/p>\n

The suspect then took the officer\u2019s baton and started to hit him on the head, according to district officials.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
