So-called Ghost Guns, those privately manufactured without registration or identification numbers, are the new Shiny Object in Gun Control.<\/p>\n
After all, Justice Department statistics show that nearly 24,000 ghost guns were recovered by law enforcement at crime scenes from 2016 to 2020. That’s about 6K a year. Compare this with the some 478,400 gun uses in crimes reported in 2011 alone.<\/p>\n
So PINO Joe has decided to ban Ghost Guns; his rational being unserialized firearms are difficult to trace to the point of purchase. That this is an issue just doesn’t add up, as the overwhelming preponderance of firearms used in crime are black market- procured through illegal means.\u00a0 Adding more illegal guns won’t affect the criminals.<\/p>\n
But stopping criminals has never been, and isn’t now, the objective.<\/p>\n

Commercial sellers will also be required to run background checks before sales of the kits, according to senior administration officials.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
