I&#8217;ve been getting some email asking what his status is these days. Aside from getting a lot of love from the usual suspects and hanging out with his fellow derelicts at Under the Hood, not much. The Left recycles his story across the internet and proclaim his bravery.<br \/>\nYesterday there was a bit of news, though. Apparently, his commander has recommended and approved a Special Court Martial. Of course the Left is outraged that he&#8217;s being persecuted. One blog even went so far as to call it a lynching &#8211; probably for the racial undertones of the use of that word. Since Agosto continues to provide us with a paper trail to his jail cell, I&#8217;m willing to publish it;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/agosto-bcd.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-12405 aligncenter\" title=\"agosto-bcd\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/agosto-bcd-230x300.jpg\" alt=\"agosto-bcd\" width=\"230\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/agosto-bcd-230x300.jpg 230w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/agosto-bcd.jpg 465w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 230px) 100vw, 230px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I hope the court martial board takes into account the influence that Agosto&#8217;s refusal has had on other troops as conveniently documented by Dahr Jamail at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/dahr-jamail\/refusing-to-comply-the-ta_b_223799.html\">HuffPo<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I spoke with [Sergeant Travis Bishop] briefly after he turned himself in at his base in early June. He said he&#8217;d chosen to follow Specialist Agosto&#8217;s example of refusal, which had inspired him, and wanted to be present at his post to accept the consequences of his actions. He, too, hoped others might follow his lead.
