Repeat Offender Becomes Dead Offender: Brick-Throwing Suspect Killed By Philly Homeowner <\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA West Philadelphia homeowner shot and killed a brick-throwing, mask-wearing suspect this week, local media reports.<\/p>\n

The 49-year-old victim heard some noise coming from his backyard around 10 p.m. Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

When he went out to see what was going on, he was confronted by the 23-year-old perp who had thrown a brick through the window of the homeowner\u2019s SUV.<\/p>\n

An altercation ensued, and the older gentleman shot the suspect.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nA man is in \u201cstable\u201d condition, according to Louisville Metro Police, after an officer with the department shot him Thursday afternoon..<\/p>\n

LMPD spokeswoman Beth Ruoff said police initially responded to reports of an adult man hitting a female in the face and stealing her \u201cproperty\u201d in the 1400 block of Paul Avenue, which is in the Taylor Berry neighborhood near Churchill Downs.<\/p>\n

When an officer \u201cobserved the man matching the description\u201d provided by MetroSafe running on Clara Avenue, that officer pursued, Ruoff said.<\/p>\n

Ruoff said the man \u201crolled onto the ground\u201d and pointed a handgun \u201cdirectly at the officer,\u201d and the officer responded by shooting the man.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
