Homeowner shoots, kills intruder who broke into his home as he slept, HPD says<\/strong>
\nThe intruder ran out and went around to neighboring homes saying he was shot after the incident, according to HPD.<\/em><\/p>\n

HOUSTON \u2014 A man was shot and killed by a homeowner after police say he broke into the man’s home, according to the Houston Police Department.<\/p>\n

The incident happened around 1 a.m. Thursday in the 2200 block of Naomi Street in southwest Houston.<\/p>\n

Police say the homeowner was asleep on the second floor of his house when he heard the glass break.<\/p>\n

The intruder entered the home and then made his way up the stairs, when the intruder saw him and discharged his weapon.<\/p>\n

According to HPD, the homeowner shot the intruder in the neck.
\nAfter being shot, police say the intruder ran out the same way he came in, then knocked on nearby doors letting neighbors know he was shot.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Oklahoma City officer wounded, suspect fatally shot<\/strong><\/p>\n

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) \u2014 An Oklahoma City police officer was wounded in a shooting that left the suspect dead, police said Thursday.<\/p>\n

Officer Bryce Sheehan was wounded shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday in the shooting that killed Crasteven Wilson, 23, according to a statement by Capt. Valerie Littlejohn.<\/p>\n

Sheehan was investigating a reported disturbance and suspicious person in southeast Oklahoma City when he encountered Wilson. Wilson then pulled a gun and shot Sheehan in the leg, Littlejohn said.<\/p>\n

Sheehan returned fire as Wilson first tried to flee in the officer’s patrol car, then ran from the scene, police said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
