Multiple news sources are reporting that Ukrainian forces have eliminated a Chechen hit squad sent by Russia to assassinate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.\u00a0 At least some of those sources are also reporting that Ukrainian forces have an alleged second Chechen hit squad under surveillance.<\/p>\n
That in itself is not a great surprise. However, those same sources are reporting that the plot was foiled due to a tip from a source that is rather shocking: the FSB.<\/p>\n
For multiple sources reporting the above, perform an Internet search using the search terms “FSB tipped Ukraine assassination plot” (no quotes, of course).<\/p>\n
For those who don’t recognize the acronym, the FSB is the Russian\u00a0 successor to the KGB.<\/p>\n
