Suspects arrested in home invasion during which invader was killed, release states<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nTwo people have been arrested in a shootout during a Palm Coast home invasion in December that left one of the invaders dead, according to the Flagler County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

Kwentel Moultrie, 23, and Taylor Manjarres, 20, both of Palm Coast, were charged with burglary of a dwelling while armed and second-degree felony murder in the death of Zaire Roberts, 23, according to the release.<\/p>\n

Moultrie and Manjarres were each being held on $400,000 bond at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility after detectives arrested them late Friday afternoon, the release stated. Moultrie was also being held without bond on additional offenses, according to the jail online records.<\/p>\n

Roberts died after a shootout in the hallway of a Regent Lane home during the home invasion on Dec. 29, according to the sheriff’s office.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nHollywood police say a Saturday call about a man with a gun at the Alexander Towers ended in that man being shot by an officer answering the call.<\/p>\n

After getting to the high rise condominium at 3505 Ocean Dr. around 8:11 a.m., police say, they found the armed man and say he fired at police. Police say their responding shots hit the man and they tended to his wounds before he was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Polk sheriff says Winter Haven man shot by sergeant after stealing car, robbing store<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nUPDATE: The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has identified the woman who was with suspect Matthew Correa. Her name is Eileen Brackin, 43, and she was arrested separately Saturday by Winter Haven police on a violation of probation charge.<\/p>\n

A 27-year-old man was shot by a Polk County sheriff’s sergeant Saturday morning in Winter Haven after the Sheriff’s Office said he stole a car and tried to rob a tire store with a rifle.<\/p>\n

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, speaking at a Saturday afternoon news conference at the site of the shooting on Winter Lake Road, said Matthew Correa of Winter Haven stole a red Toyota pickup truck from Sunrise Supermarket on Thornhill Road shortly after 8 a.m. along with an unidentified woman. The Sheriff’s Office would later identify the woman as Eileen Brackin, 43, of Auburndale.<\/p>\n

Judd said the couple then drove to Ramirez Tires on Spirit Lake Road and robbed the store with a firearm around 8:45 a.m.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
