Man shot by Norfolk police on Granby Street<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA man was taken to a hospital Saturday night after he was shot by Norfolk police.<\/p>\n

Two officers responded around 10:30 p.m. to a report of a man with a weapon in the 100 block of Granby Street.<\/p>\n

The man was armed with a handgun, according to a news release. Police did not say what he was doing with the gun that led to the call.<\/p>\n

The man \u2014 who has not been publicly identified \u2014 was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with an injury not considered life-threatening. The police officers were not injured.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nA gunman killed a rival after a fight at a Bronx baby shower \u2014 only to be fatally shot with his own gun by the victim\u2019s younger brother, cops said Sunday.<\/p>\n

The two men who wound up dead were inside a party at Webster Ave. and E. 198th St in Bedford Park when they got into a fight Saturday night, police said.<\/p>\n

Their fight spilled out onto the street, where Arnold Oliver, 24, allegedly shot 28-year-old Jamal Smith in the face about 11 p.m., cops said. The shot man\u2019s outraged friends then jumped the gunman, cops said.<\/p>\n

Smith\u2019s brother Wayne, also 28, managed to get the gunman\u2019s weapon away from him and shot him in the chest with it, according to police.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
