Apparently, he had time to think about incorporating his confessions of a few months ago (when Kris Goldsmith accused him of bragging about raping a Pinay girl). He’s expanded his story to make himself out to be some kind of dauntless killing machine. From OANOW.com;

Chiroux said he refused deployment to Iraq because he believes it is an illegal occupation and that the Army fosters a culture of abuse and torture.

Now, after obtaining a general discharge, Chiroux is still speaking out against the Iraq War.

He told the congregation Sunday there’s “a Fourth Reich movement right here on our shining society on the hill.”

Yup, a Fourth Reich, right here. You’ve seen the storm troopers out marching in the streets, haven’t you? I’d like to think he’s talking about us here at TAH the Fourth Reich, actually, since we’re always on prepared to slap down his lies. That’s the 4th Reich in his little insulated world

Chiroux served for four years as an Army journalist in Japan, Germany, the Philippines and Afghanistan. He said his job was to disseminate propaganda.

“I did very high-level propaganda,” he said. “We were targeting members of Congress … The military is maybe one of the greatest public relations hoaxes ever in this country.”

High-level propaganda – like this story about Army and Navy helicopter pilots training together in Japan. Or this one about USAEUR’s NCO of the Year. Or this high-level secret photo of an NCO studying for NCO of the Year competition. Or this article about a team of mechanics trying to improve the Hummer. That’s some real high-level stuff right there.

Chiroux admitted to mistakes in the past, including run-ins with the law as a juvenile. He said those run-ins landed him in court and, subsequently, in the Army. Once in the Army, he said he was taught how to punch someone in a way that it would kill that person and how to stab someone to do the same.

“I was taught how to kill people like everyone else,” he said. He said racism and sexism were encouraged.

Chiroux said the Army told him, “These aren’t people. They’re Haji. Hajis killing and mutilating your buddies.”

He said the Army used religious fears against detainees in interrogations.

Chiroux also said that while deployed, he and other Army members solicited prostitutes in the Philippines and Japan.

Yup, Matthis Chiroux, the 90-pound dork, can punch you and kill you with that one punch. I spent 20 years in the infantry, you’d think somewhere along the line they would have taught me that punch, wouldn’t you?

His stabbing story would be more impressive if the Army had taught him how to stab someone and NOT kill them. He makes it sound like a judge sentenced him to the Army – maybe he’d like to explain how he spent five years on active duty then. It seems to me that he extended his enlistment somewhere along the line during those grueling tours of Japan and Germany.

Can anyone out there whoever wore a uniform since the Korean War remember the Army encouraging you to be racist or sexist? I can’t. the Army is the most politically correct organization I’ve ever seen. I know Matthis wants to blame his own shortcomings on the Army culture, but I again, I was in the infantry and we weren’t allowed to be racist and sexist.

Were there racist and sexist people in the Army? Sure, just like every where in American society. But to say it’s encouraged is just a flat-out lie.

Of course, he ends his little tale with the story of how he scored a complete victory over the Army when he stood up to the review board and they cowered before his mighty intellect;

“I went to this hearing. I sat before this board and I defended myself,” he said.

Chiroux said he told the board that he was not a coward. He said he told them that the Iraq War was a criminal occupation. He said soldiers in Iraq were being forced to commit war crimes.
He received an honorable discharge.

“I haven’t so much as lost my G.I. Bill,” he said. Chiroux still receives G.I. benefits, including funds to attend college.

First of all, he didn’t get an honorable discharge. He got a general discharge under honorable conditions – the same discharge he would have received if he’d just stayed home and kept his mouth shut and waited for his discharge in the mail.

Secondly, he doesn’t qualify for the GI Bill, and we’re doing our best to make sure he doesn’t get them. The VA OIG’s office is monitoring him.

At least he’s not calling himself an “Afghanistan veteran” anymore. I guess that’s something. We’re still waiting for his ex-girlfriend’s tell-all book to come out. That should be a roar.

It’s nice to know that on a slow news day we can count on Chiroux to give us something to write about and play Whack-a-Matthis.

NYC Vet sent me the lastest report of a matthis Chiroux siting.
