Former Texas Congress-critter and Senatorial candidate “Beto” O’Rourke is now running a gubernatorial campaign against incumbent Governor Abbott. Seems his stance on firearms has *cough* matured.<\/p>\n

If you recall, during the 2020 Democrat Party\u2019s primary Beto made a lot of far left position statements, including a remarkably dumb intent concerning the most popular firearms in America.<\/p>\n

He voiced his support for a mandatory gun-buyback program of so called assault-style rifles famously stating \u201cHell, yes, we\u2019re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47.\u201d Molon Labe.<\/p>\n

Even someone as Swalwell-stupid as Beto has realized this stance is a non-starter, especially in Texas.<\/p>\n

Beto O’Rourke Now Backing Away From His ‘Hell Yes’ About Gun Confiscation at Lightning Speed<\/h3>\n

During the 2020 Democrat Party\u2019s primary, Francis \u201cBeto\u201d O\u2019Rourke made a lot of bold statements that was supposed to excite the Democrat voting base, but like many politicians, the wannabe from El Paso wholly misjudged the attitudes within the party and ended up watching his star fade very, very quickly.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Rourke\u2019s campaign ended with a whimper and not many people cared. Keep in mind that this was after he had failed to win Ted Cruz\u2019s senate seat in a very high-profile and very expensive race.<\/p>\n

One of the bold statements that O\u2019Rourke made during his attempt at the White House was the famously dumb vow of \u201chell yes, we\u2019re going to take your AR-15,\u201d a phrase which even Democrat lawmakers wish he hadn\u2019t said, knowing fully that it wouldn\u2019t play well for the majority of the country. He wasn\u2019t wrong, Democrats want to do exactly that, but they\u2019d rather not frame it that way. They want a more nuanced and gentle approach to tyranny.<\/p>\n

But now O\u2019Rourke is running in Texas again, this time for the governorship, against Greg Abbott. Currently, Abbott maintains a double-digit lead over O\u2019Rourke at 11 percent in a state that still maintains a strong shade of red despite the relentless interstate immigration from failed blue states to the figurative and literal greener grass of Texas.<\/p>\n

With the popularly red state now in his aspirations again, O\u2019Rourke seems to have put away the hardline leftist he was on the national stage and has reassumed his more moderate persona of the Texas Democrat politician.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
