\nCar theft is at least fourth reported incident in Philadelphia in which victim turns tables on would-be thieves<\/em><\/p>\n

\nA Philadelphia homeowner with a license to carry walked out on a trio of thieves while they were attempting to steal his car Tuesday morning, shooting and killing one suspect, according to local reports.<\/p>\n

The attempted car theft unfolded around 8:17 a.m. on the 5800 block of Cobbs Creek Parkway when three unknown men approached the victim\u2019s vehicle, FOX26 Philadelphia reported, citing police.<\/p>\n

The suspects tried to attach yellow cables to the car to tow it away, but were caught when the homeowner came outside, WPVI-TV reported, citing sources.<\/p>\n

The victim, who legally carried a firearm, shot one of the suspects who was only identified as a 52-year-old male, police said. The suspect was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Police believe fatal shooting was self defense<\/strong>

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) \u2013 Chattanooga Police are investigating a fatal shooting Saturday night in East Chattanooga.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened after 10:30 PM in the 2400 block of Glass Street.<\/p>\n

Police believe the case was a robbery attempt.<\/p>\n

They say the shooter stayed on the scene and was the actual victim of the robbery attempt.<\/p>\n

They say he shot 20 year old Derrick Ruffin in self defense.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
