Roberta man fatally shot by deputy after car chase, GBI says<\/strong><\/p>\n

The GBI is investigating after a deputy fatally shot a Roberta man after a chase and fight over a gun.<\/p>\n

According to a news release, a Crawford County deputy tried to stop a driver, identified as 47-year-old Denrick Stallings, for speeding.<\/p>\n

The GBI says Stallings did not stop and a chase began that ended with him crashing the car. After the crash, Stallings got out of the car and started running away from the deputy.<\/p>\n

The deputy Tased Stallings, which caused him to hit the ground. The GBI says a fight happened between the deputy and Stallings as he was being placed under arrest and there was a \u2018struggle for the deputy\u2019s gun.\u2019<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nA man suspected of burglarizing a house in Maryland got stuck in the chimney and had to be rescued, WTOP News reported.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to a call about an attempted robbery at a home in Montgomery County during the early hours of Saturday morning, a police spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

WTOP reported that the man, who has not yet been publicly identified, became trapped in the home’s chimney during the attempted break-in.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
