Philadelphia pizza worker’s teen son shoots robbery suspect in the face<\/strong>

\nThe teenaged son of a Philadelphia pizza shop worker foiled a robbery attempt when he shot an armed suspect in the face.<\/p>\n

Three men attempted to rob a CVS Thursday at around 9:30 p.m. in the Spring Garden section of the city, but they fled when they could not open the cash register. One of the men peeled off and entered the Bold Pizza Shop down the street.<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old suspect brandished a gun and reached across the counter to try and steal cash from the register. An employee tried to fight off the suspect, leading to a struggle that led to the suspect strangling the employee.<\/p>\n

The victim\u2019s son grabbed a gun from under the counter and shot the suspect in the face, causing him to flee, FOX 29 Philadelphia reported.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nIn July of 2020, detectives arrested 26-year-old Jared Naranjo for the murder of Frederick Rice. Authorities now believe that was done in self defense.<\/em><\/p>\n

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 A man on trial for murder has been released due to new and crucial evidence proving the defendant’s claim of self defense.<\/p>\n

It was in July of 2020 when police were called to Mokry Drive near Carroll Lane and Gollihar Road at around 3:30 a.m. That’s where they found Frederick Rice suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.<\/p>\n

Detectives eventually arrested 26-year-old Jared Naranjo for the murder.<\/p>\n

Naranjo’s murder trial began this week, but prosecutors discovered new evidence that they said backed up Naranjo’s claim of self defense.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
