Intruder shot after breaking into Philadelphia home: Police<\/strong>
\nThe incident happened on the 4600 block of Newhall Street around 4:30 p.m.<\/em><\/p>\n

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Police say an intruder was shot by someone inside a home in the Logan section of Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

It happened around 4:30 p.m. Sunday on the 4600 block of Newhall Street.According to police, the 58-year-old suspect broke into the home through a back window.<\/p>\n

But he didn’t get far as someone inside opened fire and struck the suspect multiple times.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nAlbert Manansala heard a commotion going on at a neighbor\u2019s home in Dededo on a recent Monday morning.<\/p>\n

He looked through a window and saw a man trying to force himself into the house.<\/p>\n

\u201cI grabbed my gun and I went and made sure that the front area was clear, because you don\u2019t know how many are there. Then I ran back and I saw him and I chased him,\u201d Manansala recalled.<\/p>\n

Manansala then did what he prayed he would never have to do.<\/p>\n

\u201cI put a gun on his face and I said \u2018I want to see your hands, let me see your hands, I don\u2019t want to shoot you today,\u2019\u201d Manansala said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
