Former U.S. Congresswoman and 2020 Democrat presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard, of Hawaii, has spoken out against the trial of 18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse.<\/p>\n
Gabbard is a US Army Reserve Officer and Iraq war veteran. She served in U.S. Congress from 2013 to 2021.<\/p>\n
In a video statement, Gabbard defended Rittenhouse, saying, \u201cWith no evidence, MSM & antifa-loving politicians immediately labeled Rittenhouse a white supremacist terrorist. It\u2019s obvious now that he was just a foolish kid who felt he needed to protect people & the community from rioters & arsonists because the government failed to do so.\u201d<\/p>\n

Former Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard defended Kyle Rittenhouse and slammed the political left during an interview on Thursday evening over their reaction to the judge in the case.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe remember very clearly that immediately after this incident, this tragedy occurred with Kyle Rittenhouse, the mainstream media, pro-Antifa politicians were very quick to say this kid is a white supremacist terrorist,\u201d Gabbard told Lawrence Jones III on \u201cFox News Primetime.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe government absolutely failed to fulfill this most basic responsibility of keeping their community safe,\u201d Gabbard continued. \u201cKyle Rittenhouse shouldn\u2019t have gone and done what he did. But \u2026 you know, he\u2019s a foolish kid who, like others in the community felt like they had no other choice but to step up and to try to do their part to keep people safe.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
