Houthi Rebels, Yemen<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Another Democrat president, another Middle East US Embassy, another group of fundamentalist Muslims, and another group of embassy staff taken hostage. Biden told the world “America is back.”<\/a> I didn’t really think he meant “back in time”, yet here we are with record inflation, soaring gas prices, and now an embassy under siege. It’s the 1970s all over again, but without the Bee Gees, Travolta, or the Village People.<\/p>\n

As we look at this, remember that the Houthi rebels who are perpetrating acts of terrorism in Yemen and on neighboring countries (all supported and supplied by Iran, who were fed with pallets of cash by the O’Biden-Bama Administration) were designated a terrorist organization by Trump. The left and the media (I repeat myself) howled and demanded Biden remove them from the terrorist list. Always dutiful to his handlers, Biden did just that early on in “his” administration.<\/p>\n

…On Thursday, the Yemeni media outlet Al-Masdar Online reported that Houthi jihadis in Yemen, which are backed by the Islamic Republic of Iran, stormed our embassy in Sana\u2019a, seizing \u201clarge quantities of equipment and materials.\u201d Just days before that, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), they \u201ckidnapped three Yemeni nationals affiliated with the U.S. Embassy.\u201d<\/p>\n

A State Department spokesman confirmed the Yemeni report, saying: \u201cThe United States has been unceasing in its diplomatic efforts to secure their release. The majority of the detained have been released, but the Houthis continue to detain additional Yemeni employees of the embassy.\u201d They are being \u201cdetained without explanation and we call for their immediate release.\u201d The U.S., the spokesman continued, is \u201cconcerned about the breach of the compound\u201d and is calling \u201con the Houthis to immediately vacate it and return all seized property.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yeah, I\u2019ll bet the Houthis are shaking with fear now. Because Biden\u2019s handlers are really going all out on this one: deploying the Navy? Sending in the Marines? Immediately imposing crippling sanctions? Come on, man! The Biden team, said the State wonk, \u201cwill continue its diplomatic efforts to secure the release of our staff and the vacating of our compound, including through our international partners.\u201d That\u2019ll show \u2018em.<\/p>\n

Contrast that weak and uninspired response with what is going on among the Houthis themselves. Last June, according to MEMRI, the Houthis\u2019 Al-Eman TV featured an Islamic scholar, Dr. Ahmad Al-Shami, telling a room full of children that \u201cthe scam of 9\/11 was a theatrical show produced by the Jews and the Americans. They killed a group of their own people so that they could have a pretext.\u2026 All of this is done under the pretext of fighting terrorism, which \u2018emerged from your midst of Muslims and Arabs.\u2019\u201d Al-Shami declared: \u201cWhen we say \u2018Death to America,\u2019 it means life for all the nations that America is killing. When we say \u2018Death to Israel,\u2019 it means life for all the people, around the world, in whose killing and corruption Israel is taking part.\u201d<\/p>\n

The students then began chanting \u201cAllahu akbar! Death to America! Death to Israel! Curse be upon the Jews! Victory to Islam!\u201d<\/p>\n

Charming. Yet when Donald Trump had the Houthis designated as foreign terrorists, the Leftist political and media establishment was (as always regarding anything and everything Trump did) outraged. No fewer than twenty-two aid groups that were operating in Yemen demanded that the designation be revoked \u201cimmediately,\u201d and when his handlers gained control of the presidency, Old Joe Biden did just that. Trump was right again. If any group deserves to be considered foreign terrorists, it\u2019s the Houthis.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, in September the Biden administration quietly removed an advanced missile defense system from Saudi Arabia, despite the fact that the Saudis are suffering ongoing air attacks from the Houthis in Yemen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
