Man stabbed by child of woman he was strangling in Windber home, police report<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nSOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) \u2014 A man is facing charges after police say he was stabbed by the son of a woman he was allegedly strangling and threatening to kill in her Windber home Monday evening.<\/p>\n

Brandon McAllister, 32, is charged with burglary, strangulation, and other misdemeanor charges after allegedly breaking into the woman\u2019s home Monday night, Oct. 1.<\/p>\n

Police were first called to Sheetz on Graham Avenue for a report of a man that was stabbed and having trouble breathing. He was identified as McAllister.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nAccording to the state police \u2013 Johnny Magee charged at a Houma officer while holding a screwdriver and \u2013 that\u2019s when the officer discharged his service weapon.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nNEW ORLEANS \u2014 Louisiana State Police are investigating a shooting involving Houma police officers and a mentally ill man.<\/p>\n

It happened late Monday afternoon in the 100 block of Downtown Court.<\/p>\n

Police were responding to a call about a disturbance involving 36-year-old Johnny Magee.<\/p>\n

\u201cI called 911 and said ‘My son is schizophrenic, bipolar, he has a mental disorder,’\u201d Magee\u2019s mother Lorraine Magee said. \u201cI said when you come out here, I said send some policemen with experience in that area, so they won\u2019t kill my child.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lorraine Magee said her son was having a mental breakdown when two police officers arrived in the parking lot in front of her trailer home.<\/p>\n

She admits her son could get aggressive when having one of his episodes.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nMagee was a threat to others and should have been institutionalized. Another victim of unintended consequences.<\/p>\n
