Pennsylvania trooper shoots, kills man armed with knife<\/strong><\/p>\n

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) \u2014 A Pennsylvania state trooper shot and killed a man who refused to drop a knife during a confrontation on Halloween, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Troopers had responded to a domestic complaint in West Hanover Township where they said Glenn Custer, 59, of Harrisburg, was acting erratically and was armed with a knife.<\/p>\n

Custer disobeyed commands to drop the knife and was moving toward a trooper and toward the residence where the domestic complaint had been made, authorities said. That\u2019s when another trooper opened fire.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

SAN ANTONIO \u2013 A shooting suspect in his 20s is dead after a confrontation with a man who he tried to shoot on the South Side, San Antonio police say.<\/p>\n

Police say the suspect in his 20s went to a home the 200 block of Pleasanton Circle around 12:55 p.m. Thursday and kicked in the back door. When the man inside confronted the suspect, he pulled out a gun from his waistband.<\/p>\n

The homeowner then ran upstairs to his bedroom to get a gun and fired at the suspect who kicked down the door, striking him, according to SAPD.<\/p>\n

The suspect fired at the homeowner but did not hit him with gunfire, police said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
