Two folks were killed this afternoon in a subway train accident on the DC’s Metro Red Line<\/a> between Fort Totten and Takoma Park – the last two stops in the District. Yep, that’s my train and I’d have been on the Metro this afternoon if I hadn’t been getting my cast off instead. Local news video;<\/p>\n

It looks from the news reports at least one of the trains was headed towards Shady Grove – if they were both headed to Shady Grove, they were probably fairly empty since most of the people in DC are headed the other way to the suburbs while this train was headed into the city.<\/p>\n
