\nAn Atlanta homeowner opened fire on an intruder who broke into the home, took two kitchen knives and attempted to attack a resident who is confined to a wheelchair, according to police.<\/p>\n

“When he came into the window, he went to the kitchen and grabbed some kitchen knives,” Atlanta Police Captain Dorian Graham told Fox 5 of the incident.<\/p>\n

The intruder broke into the home just after 11 p.m. on Wednesday evening. The suspect took two knives, and made his way to another room where he tried to stab a resident of the house who is confined to a wheelchair, police said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nA CVS employee scared off a man after he tried to rob the store and threatened to pull a gun.<\/p>\n

The employee asked the man to leave while he was filling a trash bag with store items. When he reached for his waistband, the employee pulled out his own gun.<\/p>\n

The man dropped the trash bag and ran out of the store, in the 3900 block of Lindell Boulevard. Police say the event took place around 2:47 a.m.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Winston-Salem apartment robbed by 4 suspects; victim shoots in self-defense<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nFour people were arrested after breaking into a Winston-Salem apartment while armed with a gun.<\/p>\n

It happened Wednesday around 12:30 p.m. That’s when Winston-Salem police officers responded to the shooting on the 700 block of Scholastic Court.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, police were told that the suspects left the area in a black Nissan Altima. Responding officers found the car and completed a traffic stop. Police say four suspects, identified as Reginald Williams; Leroy Streeter; Tamir Best; and Allen Little, were all located inside the car.<\/p>\n

Officers at the apartment spoke with 38-year-old Cara Copeland, who told police three men entered the apartment and one had a gun. Copeland said she went into a back bedroom where Allen Wilson was located.<\/p>\n

According to police, Wilson shot at the suspects in self-defense. The suspects then quickly ran out of the apartment.<\/p>\n

Police say two of the suspects ran out of the front door and one jumped off the third-floor balcony.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
