Indiana State Police officers fatally shoot man who pointed gun at them<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ridley COUNTY, Ind. \u2014
\nIndiana State Police officers responding to a domestic situation fatally shot a man who pointed a gun at them in Ripley County.<\/p>\n

It happened Sunday morning at a house on East County Road 900 North near Sunman, Indiana.<\/p>\n

Sgt. Stephen Wheeles with the Indiana State Police said 37-year-old Joshua Ebinger violated a protection order and that led to a woman at the home calling 911.<\/p>\n

“This was a very serious call from the get-go. It was a domestic situation involving a gun. The officers already knew a gun was involved in the situation when they were responding to that residence,” Wheeles said.<\/p>\n

Wheeles said officers removed the woman from the house safely, but then Ebinger stepped outside holding a gun.<\/p>\n

“I was in my room, and I just heard the cops saying, ‘Put the gun down,” said a neighbor.<\/p>\n

Investigators said Ebinger ignored their commands and then pointed the gun at two of the officers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Armed Murder Suspect Fatally Shot By CHP Officers During Standoff On 105 Freeway Transition Road In Paramount<\/strong><\/p>\n

PARAMOUNT (CBSLA) \u2014 A man with a gun was fatally shot by California Highway Patrol officers Monday following a chase and a standoff on the westbound 105 Freeway in Paramount.<\/p>\n

Jesse Medrano, 35, had been identified by the LAPD as a suspect in a Sunday triple shooting that killed his own father, 61-year-old Ruben Marrufo.<\/p>\n

According to the CHP, a disabled vehicle was reported on the right shoulder of the westbound 105 Freeway to the northbound 710. After a CHP officer arrived at the scene, they determined the van was possibly stolen and its driver was wanted in connection with a double homicide.<\/p>\n

The driver, later identified as Medrano, appeared to be agitated and was holding a gun in video taken from Sky 2. He gestured several times as he spoke to CHP officers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
