Sheriff: Armed 95-year-old foils home invasion in Covington County<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nCOVINGTON COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) – The Covington County Sheriff\u2019s Office is crediting a senior citizen with forcing an alleged burglar into retreat, which ended with his capture.<\/p>\n

Sheriff Blake Turman said Timothy Ray Jordan, 40, broke into a home on Fisherman\u2019s Road near the Dozier community Friday evening. The 95-year-old homeowner was reportedly napping in his living room, but the back door\u2019s shattering glass woke him up.<\/p>\n

The sheriff said the homeowner armed himself and caught Jordan ransacking the kitchen. He said Jordan also hurled a chair through the dining room window at some point.<\/p>\n

According to the sheriff, the armed senior citizen did not run away. Instead, he ordered Jordan to leave. The suspect did, and the homeowner called 911, Turman said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Kevin Holland detailed the chase in an interview with TMZ Sports<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nUFC\u2019s Kevin Holland tracked and held down an alleged carjacker until police arrived at the scene on Monday in Texas. <\/p>\n

The MMA star spoke to TMZ Sports about the incident, which he said took place in his neighborhood after he noticed a man attempting to steal a car.<\/p>\n

Holland detailed the chase and at one point said that the alleged carjacker tried to run him over when he attempted to confront him. After the suspect crashed into a trailer, Holland said that he followed him and kicked his legs to knock him down. He eventually jumped on him and held him down.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
