A Sumter woman will not be charged for shooting intruder who entered her house<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA woman who shot a man that forced entry into her home will not be charged according to the Sumter Police Department.<\/p>\n

The incident happened at around 4:15 am on Robney drive.<\/p>\n

Once on the scene, police found a woman, who was beaten, and a man shot outside of the home.<\/p>\n

The initial investigation indicates the man, Euguene Rhinehart III, 31, of Granada Drive, entered the home uninvited through an unlocked door and located the homeowner, Samantha Funchess, 43,<\/p>\n

Investigators say Rhinehart then confronted Funches and began punching her. During the assault, Funchess managed to get a gun that was in the home and shoot Rhinehart.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nTexas authorities say an armed customer intervened during the attempted robbery of a fried chicken fast food restaurant, fatally wounding one gunman and sending a second suspect struck by gunfire to the hospital.<\/p>\n

Port Arthur police responded around 8:45 p.m. Friday to an aggravated robbery happening at the Church\u2019s Chicken location at 1849 Jefferson Drive. Detectives learned that two suspects armed with handguns were robbing the restaurant, but an armed citizen intervened and a shootout ensued.<\/p>\n

“Several shots were fired and both suspects were struck,” the Port Arthur Police Department said in a press release. “The suspects fled the scene and were later located by police officers.”<\/p>\n

One of the suspects was later pronounced dead at an area hospital, police said. The second was located at Normandy Apartments, KFDM reported, and was brought to the emergency room for treatment.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
