Armed Woman Dies Following Allen Police Officer-Involved Shooting In Wendy\u2019s Parking<\/strong><\/p>\n

ALLEN, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) \u2013 An armed woman who was fired upon by an Allen Police officer during a disturbance call in a Wendy\u2019s parking lot on Monday, Sept. 27, died.<\/p>\n

Police identified her on Tuesday as Gloria Marie Strong, 27.<\/p>\n

A man is hospitalized.<\/p>\n

Police said he is Michael Anthony Cooper, 24.<\/p>\n

Police said the incident began shortly before 2:30 p.m. at 301 Central Expressway South.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived, they were unable to locate the disturbance but began looking around the area.<\/p>\n

In the Wendy\u2019s parking lot at 601 W. McDermott Dr (located one building to the east) officers saw a woman holding a rifle at her side and immediately heard several gunshots.<\/p>\n

Officers rushed to the location as Strong still holding the rifle, began to run east, resulting in an officer firing at least one shot at her, the department explained in a news release.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hillsboro man fatally shot by deputy after traffic stop in Happy Valley<\/strong><\/p>\n

HAPPY VALLEY, Ore. (KATU) \u2014 A deputy shot and killed a 26-year-old Hillsboro man while trying to take him into custody during a traffic stop in Happy Valley early Monday morning, the Clackamas County District Attorney\u2019s Office said.<\/p>\n

The incident started at around 2 a.m. near Southeast 145th and King Road.<\/p>\n

Deputies tried to pull over the driver of a Ford Ranger pickup with no license plates, but they said he didn\u2019t stop; instead, he drove down a dead-end road.<\/p>\n

Deputies flattened the pickup truck\u2019s tires with spike strips when he tried to drive out. They were able to stop the truck at Southeast 145th and Ridgecrest where, they said, Nathan Thomas Honeycutt struggled with deputies and then drew a revolver.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
