Police: Man dies after being rammed by squad in Mounds View as shots were fired at deputy<\/strong><\/p>\n

MOUNDS VIEW – A deputy rammed a man with his squad after the sheriff’s office says that man opened fire on the deputy Wednesday morning in a Mounds View, Minnesota neighborhood in an incident that followed a 911 call.<\/p>\n

The sheriff’s office says the incident started around 10:40 a.m. when they were called out to a hotel on the 2200 block of Mounds View Boulevard for the report of a domestic assault in which a gun had been fired.<\/p>\n

When deputies arrived, they learned the suspect in the case had been last seen near a restaurant south of the hotel. After a search, deputies say they found the man about a mile to the north on the 5200 block of Pinewood Court. As deputies pulled up, the sheriff’s office says the man raised his handgun and fired at the approaching squad. Deputies say bullets struck the squad just above and below the driver’s side of the windshield.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nPolice in McKinney shot and killed a man who pointed a shotgun at officers Thursday afternoon, police said.<\/p>\n

Police said they responded to a report regarding a suicidal person around 2:25 p.m. at a house on Redwood Drive, near the Sam Rayburn Tollway and U.S. Highway 75.<\/p>\n

While officers tried to make contact with the man, police said the man came out of the house after nearly an hour and pointed a shotgun at the officers, leading to officers firing their weapons. The man died at the scene.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Intruder shot, killed inside Midtown Atlanta apartment, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

ATLANTA \u2014 Atlanta police are investigating a deadly overnight shooting in Midtown.<\/p>\n

Police told Channel 2 Action News that officers were called to The Mark apartments at 955 Spring Street in reference to a shooting.<\/p>\n

Officers said the person who lives at one of the units came home to find someone inside the apartment. They confronted the intruder, who was shot in the chest and later died.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re working to learn more about this developing story on Channel 2 Action News.<\/p>\n

Investigators are questioning the person early Thursday morning. Police said the person is cooperating.<\/p>\n

The apartment building is used largely as off-campus housing for Georgia Tech students.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
