Man will not be charged in deadly Lynchburg shooting ruled self-defense<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nLYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) \u2014 A man involved in a deadly shooting on York Street in Lynchburg on May 30 will not be charged with any crime, Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Andrew Childress said.<\/p>\n

Justin Lewis, a 24-year-old from Lynchburg, was shot during an argument just after 5:30 p.m. on May 30 and died at the scene.<\/p>\n

Witnesses told investigators that Lewis and another individual were arguing when Lewis produced a firearm and began shooting at that person.<\/p>\n

As Lewis fired at the individual, a man drew the firearm he was carrying and Lewis turned and fired at the man, witnesses said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The 24-year-old shot dead at an E John bus stop early Tuesday morning on Capitol Hill has been identified but few details have been publicly released in the shooting as authorities complete their investigation and weigh any charges in the case.<\/p>\n

The King County Medical Examiner\u2019s office says the 24-year-old has been identified as Jayson Williams. Williams died early Tuesday after being shot in reported self defense during an attempted armed robbery at 10th and John.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
